Just what the doctor ordered: bringing Adam Kay's book to life

Originally briefed by Picador (Pan MacMillan) to visualise and animate the ex-junior doctor / author Adam Kay’s ‘This is going to hurt’ diary entries. The success of the project from initial release, paperback and eventually to being turned into a BBC TV series (starring Ben Whishaw) makes this one of the most interesting projects I have contributed to.

Adam Kay - Turkey

Since 2017, Andrew has been working with Pan Macmillan and British comedy writer Adam Kay on animated diary entries of the million-copy bestselling 'This is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor'.

The short films, although very simple, are always well received and have been included within nominations for a number of publishing industry marketing awards.
