Wa_RAF — a display typeface drawn from the blocky lettering painted onto wartime Royal Air Force aircraft. Condensed and sturdy, with corners clipped like they'd been brushed on by hand against a fuselage, it's built for headlines that need to bark rather than murmur.
Shown here running through a bit of pilots' slang — Chocks away!, Scramble!, Tally ho!, Corkscrew!, Pancake! — the clipped shorthand you'd have heard crackling over the radio.
