In July 2024, as Alexander Waugh’s cancer was closing in, my friend James Delingpole and cartoonist Bob Moran paid a final visit to his Somerset home to break bread and share a good bottle of Burgundy.
Alexander—musician, concert promoter, author, custodian of the Waugh family archives (Evelyn was his grandfather), and an unflagging sleuth in the Shakespeare authorship debate (he championed Edward de Vere, the Earl of Oxford)—speaks with them about God, music, death—everything. Alexander sadly died a few days later.
One year on, in memoriam, the recordings are being released, and I was asked to art direct the promotional material.
